African Development Bank Internship

Timeline for the 2017 Program, Summer - Session: July through December 2017.

  • Internships shall be granted to each candidate for a period not less than three (3) months and not more than six (6) months.
  • The internship is authorized only once for any candidate.
  • Interns shall be responsible for their air travel (where applicable) to and from the Bank’s location as well as their upkeep. 
  • Interns shall be responsible for their medical insurance coverage and for obtaining entry and residence visas in the host country of the Bank.
  • Eligible Interns will be provided with a monthly stipend.

Duties:

  • Active search, interview and recruitment of call-operators and other positions for the firm with the desired language skills and expertise
  • Outgoing calls to applicants from 20-40 calls a day
  • Conduct first-level interview
  • Maintaining an active HR database and reporting to management staff
  • Coach and mentor call-center agents on their performance including career and performance development plans
  • Address behavior and attendance issues according to best practice for performance management
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, exhibiting a strong level of professionalism with focus on employee satisfaction

28 – 30 June 2017 Tunis, Tunisia
Joint Africa – European Union Partnership Strategy (JAES)

The expected results of the intercontinental forum are to:
- promote common understanding,
- long term vision (follow up),
- Identify the viewpoints of both continents by engaging both Africans and Europeans.

The June 2017 Forum is a key activity towards promoting effective and relevant civil society participation in JAES and strengthening CSO contribution to the policy making process. This will be an opportunity for civil society organization from both continents to:
• build on the outcome of the intercontinental forum of October 2013;
• reflect on the progress of the 2014 -2017 JAES roadmap and civil society participation;
• discuss future priorities in the light of external challenges and opportunities at global and regional levels;
• identify the added value of the JAES and the role of EU and Africa in the context of the themes of the summit;
• make specific recommendations to deliver to governments ahead of the Africa- EU Summit including for future participation of civil society and
• Strengthening civil society in both continents as well as the role of JAES CSO Joint Steering Committee (JSC) and the partnership between the two steering groups.
